How to get 6-Pack Abs: 5 Tips to a Strong and Healthy Core
Who doesn’t want a flat and toned belly? The good news is that you can build a 6-pack far easier than you realize. With some determination, hard work, and the 5 tips below you’ll be on your way to having the flat abs of your dreams!
1. Drink Water!
It’s so important to keep yourself well-hydrated. I’m sure you hear this all the time, and there’s a reason for that! Staying hydrated will keep you healthy and vibrant before, during, and after your workout routine and is an absolute must for optimal health! A dehydrated body can cause fatigue, brain fog, droopy skin, crankiness, and headaches. Ew. Nobody wants any of that! Set a timer on your phone to help you remember to take a few gulps of water throughout your day.
2. Get Your Sweat On!
Make sure you find a workout plan that really rocks your core. Aerobic activity will help you burn body fat and strength building exercises will help you build lean muscle. Aim for 30 minutes of cardiovascular activity 5 days a week. On 3 or 4 or those days, add exercises targeted to strengthening and toning your core. Personally, I love all forms of planks! I think they’re the best for giving you a long and lean mid-section.
3. Eat Clean!
Abs are made in the gym and revealed in the kitchen. Eat healthy and nutritious meals consisting of complex carbohydrates, like sweet potatoes, and lean protein, like chicken breast or fish. Calories are not your enemy! The kind of calories, and how many you eat everyday, are.
Be sure to get plenty of rest. Your body needs time to heal and grow. Get plenty of sleep. Being well-rested gives you more energy to work out the next day. Sleep is crucial to a well-balanced workout routine!
5. Enjoy the Ride
Embrace the joy of working out and don’t get hyper focused on results. 2-pack, 6-pack, no pack. Doesn’t really matter. What matters most is that you’re happy, healthy, and confident with yourself. No matter what.
So, with these 5 easy little tips in mind, you should be well on your way!
Remember, hard work, determination, and patience will get you anything. Stick to it and you’ll see the results you crave!
